Default camaro after valve adjus

I have a 1993 camaro 3.4 that I put intake gaskets on because the air plentum was leaking and it was arround 17.00 for a set of gaskets I had to loosen up the valves to take off the pushrods to put the gaskets on and i tightened up the valves and adjusted them and now its idleing high and eraticly and theres no vacuume leak could it be the valves if I didnt do them right and if not could it be the o2 sensors

Oh boy, you didn't need to loosen the rockers to remove the push rods. If the engine wasn't running erratically like that before you took it apart, then the problem is with your valve adjustment, unless something went wrong and the intake is still leaking. You may have some or all of the valves set either too tight or too loose. What adjustment procedure did you follow?

Did you remove the pushrods? If so did you put them back in the same holes? The 3.4L has different pushrods for the exhaust and intake. That could be an issue too.

I don't think the 3.4l had different pushrods because when I installed my 1.6 rr and hardened pushrods they were all the same length with no special instructions.

I think you're confusing this with the non-adjustable rocker 3.4 version. The Camaro 3.4 has adjustable rocker arms, and the intake & exhaust push rods are the same length, 6.163". Valve adjustment follows the same basic procedure as a sbc.

Here's a diagram with instructions. Although, I don't like using the two-step adjustment method.

Thanks for the heads up guys... My parts computer at work shows 2 different rods and lengths for the camaro. I might have to check that out against the paper listings. I am glad I have not sold any yet and only looked them up for a customer.

Default 95 Camaro 3.4

I have a 1995 Camaro with a 3.4 and all of my pushrods are the exact same length.
