Default Broken signal bulb

I had to replace my passenger signal buld and found that it had broken in the fixture. Is there an easy way to remove the pieces and there is water in the fixture it's the first time this has happened what could be the cause?

You should be able to use some needle nose pliers in between the the opening and open them up. From there you can twist them to get the broken base out of its socket. I would disconnect the battery before this is done. You may have a crack in it or the seal went bad........1SG

I really hope there isn't anything wrong with the fixture I just replaced it about four months ago. It did rain pretty heavy here a couple of days ago hopefully it's just condensation. I replaced the bulb but it still has shards in there. Is there an easy way of removing them with out taking the entire thing out

If theres condensation in there, theres a seal failure. U did say u had lots of rain, so this may have been the issue. On a normal storm or rain fall u may not have this issue, but more than normal, it happens. Ive had it happen on several vehicles of mine.. But a good way to get the schards out is Duct Tape.. that stuff is very sticky. u can roll some up and stick it in, u may get the majority, but not all of it. Or u have to remove the lense. Check the gasket that goes around the bulb socket... u can get moisture throught there. But.. the BEST way to check is to remove the lense, And fill the lense with a little bit of soapy water. Then fill with compressed air. u will see bubbles comming through any leaks.
