Air intake question
Ok guys so i have a 2002 V6 camaro and i was wondering two things
1 what is the plastic "bellows" behind the air intake and infront of the throttle body? and is it necessary?
2 I have an ultra z hood on the car so it has a functional ram air intake what would be the best Cold air intake system to buy i was looking at the K&N system that has the open filter sitting at the front of the engine but it is expencive what to do?

The bellow in front of the throttle body is an air silencer, it is not necessary to have, but obviously you need to replace it with something. By removing the air silencer and replacing with with a K&N Cold air intake, you would smooth out the air flow and allow your engine to breath better. I myself have the SLP Cold air intake, but with the functional hood i have now, i would rather have a K&N being used in conjunction with my hood instead.
