May want to PM Socom. He has a 93 3.4.... I know the 93's are a little different than the 94's and 95's.

I think the black box is the coolant recovery tank. It sits under the battery and by your size description sounds about right along with the two hoses part. But then that makes me wonder where your coolant is going when the car gets heated up..

 

He said its not the overflow tank.... That's all I can think of tho

 

I can assure all of you that itis not the coolant overflow....It's a Rectangular box...
