Well I looked at it today and like it. The driver seat is bad (depressed cushion and ripped leather,) some stitching on the back seat has come undone, and there is a whispering near the water pump, and the driver side visor is kaput, but I like it. These things don't really bother me but can bring down the price significantly correct me if I'm wrong.Given these problems I am going to give it a week or so and check in next weekend to see if she will bring down the price to between $6K-$6.5K(since she recently put it up for sale.)

Thats a pretty good price.

Indeed. I was fortunate also by having a car to drive while shopping, and did not need to hurry. But a Camaro was only one of a few cars I considered, so I wasnt constrained by having to find 'the' car... if an Alfa Milano hadn't sold just before I got there, that would be my V6 stick!
But it worked out well. Not only a good price for lower miles (just giving u another point of reference, not gloating), but the PO had pro-installed a Borla catback, whisper lid/K&N, 17' chrome SS wheels, and he thru in the stockers with decent tires for nothing. Glad it was a hatchback!
My driver seat was also worn a bit and the cushion flattend where u enter, must be common. Make sure the pwr windows op smoothly; mine sucked, but I got a motor cheap on Ebay and did the install. Keep shopping while u wait her out, too. If yr in an urban area, there are lots of Fbodies... so dont pay more than 6250.

I just bought a '99 3.8L with 86K, nice condition, for $5200, but have spent some 800 more on rims, tires, wiper motor, tranny flush, etc. Check the headlights. The lens can get really bad, and replacements are VERY expensive. I am going to try the "halo" aftermarkets which are much cheaper and no doubt made cheaply.

I'm looking at another Camaro. It is a 96', so I just decided to continue on this thread instead of making another. I've got the Carfax report and ad. Let me know what you guys think. I just got an email from the seller and he said there is a crease in the right rear quarter panel (autotrader pic.), and the RS stuff has been removed due to the high amount of previous owners(Carfax report.)
