Default 99' V6's

I'm looking at this 99' V6 but am unsure if it is a 3.4 or 3.8. Doubt the lady selling it would knoweither and would like to knowbeforeI see it on Fri. Did they make 3.4's in 99'? The car is fully loaded too. Just thought I'd throw that out there if it made a difference.

Yes, its a 3.8l. The 3.4's were only from 93-95 and the 3.8's were from 95-02. In 95 the california camaro's had the 3.8 while the Canadian ones had the 3.4. 99 Is a good year too because it was the first year to have the new front end with the straight throttle body, so finding an intake/SC is easy. The 98 was the only year to have the new front end that still had an angled throttle body, so most intakes/SC's that are for a 98 are specifically for the 98 only (at least from what i've seen.). So yes, the 99 is the 3.8 and i believe any intake or SC from 99-02 should work for it. Sounds like a nice car, i would go for it.

I've got a 99' 3.8, it's been a good car. What's the mileage and how much is she asking?

Its a 99' 3.8 V6 I suppose. Fully loaded including T-tops, has 73,000 mi, has been garaged, original owner, and she is asking $7000. I think it's really nice and is just what I've been looking for. Going to check it out Fri. or Sat.

If you like it go ahead and buy it imo. As long as you dont see anything really wrong with it you should enjoy it. The engines are very dependable & its very good power for a V6.

Yeah here in about 2 months I'll be unloading my 99 3.8and stepping up to an LS1(I am counting the days). Guess with 100,000 miles on it I'll ask around $4,500-$5,000.

Yeah, so the lady selling it said there is a rip or the stitching has come undone on the driver seat. I haven't seen it yet so am not completly sure. How much would this cost to get fixed, and how much could I take off from her asking price because of this.
