Default 99 Camaro need help!!

Ok, I want to start off by saying I dont know much about cars at all. But, im starting to get interested more and more ever since I bought my camaro. I have a 99 3.8L v6 and its an automatic. I have a job, and im saving up so I can make my car as fast as possible. So what do you all suggest I start out doing to it to make it faster? Cold air, headers, anything? Thanks.

Full exhaust system from the headers to the tips will do alot of good. Cold air intake and a bigger cam as well. throw some 3.73 gears in the back too! A good tune to go with all that will help. You might want to get a shift kit and beef up that tranny too.

How fast do you want to go? What's your goal?
How much do you want to spend? What's your budget?

Here's some ideas:
- Swap the tranny for a standard 5spd
- Put in a Stage-II clutch
- Swap the rear-end for 3.73 with posi
- Get headers
- High-flow cat
- Performance muffler
- Higher-capacity fuel pump
- Higher-capacity fuel injectors
- Cold Air Intake or RAM Air (like the SS)
- Wider low-profile tires
- New wheel bearings
- AC Bypass pulley & remove AC compressor
- Computer tune
- Synthetic oil
- Aluminum one-piece driveshaft
