97 v6 no low beams
this is my first time posting so sorry if i leave anything out.
This is what i know; all my fuses are good, there's power running to them but theres no power at the low beam socket. dash lights and all other lights work. could this be a rellay or do you have any other ideas, or can it be a wiring problem? and my daytime running lights arent working when i put down the E-brake and start to drive.

looks to me like the wiring or ground is the only place it could happen.

OK there could be a few things going on here. First is the DRLs are run off the BCM. 97 is the first year for DRLs and they only power the bright side of the front parking lights. The BCM activates a relay internally and that in turn runs a relay in the engine bay. Turning on the parking lights sends a signal to the BCM to release the relays and give control to the headlight switch.
The headlights are a much simpler system. If you have auto lamps there is a sensor on the dash in the defrost vent that detects the light. That goes to the BCM which switches the headlights on based on the reading from the sensor. This is fed through the headlamp switch which will turn on all other lights regardless of the position of the switch. The headlight power then goes through the dimmer switch, after the dimmer it goes thru a low beam relay in the engine bay.
Now the common point of failure in this system is the dimmer switch, headlight switch and lastly the relays in that order. They all can be tested with a multi meter. Please test before throwing money at the car, most auto part stores will not take parts back that were used for testing.
