Question 96 v6 muffler

Hello! Thanks for letting me use this forum. I recently picked up a 96 camaro from out of state and i need to get it registered. There are a few small problems. One im starting with is the muffler. Theres a crack in it. Now i dont want to spend much on getting a replacement, maybe 50$. And I want it to be LOUD. I dont care what the neighbors think Any suggestions will be appriciated. Thank you.!

Well if you want loud and don't have emissions laws.. just go straight pipe. Take the muffler right out. If that's not an option, good luck finding a muffler for $50. You could always patch it for $50 I bet?

Not worth patching. Craigslist in my area (new jersey) has a flowmaster with dual outs on it for 40$. But its for the fbody style. Would it fit? even if its a few inches off? I mean i can just bring it to mineke and have them put it on instead of going through the hassel of breaking/torchign the brackets off. Even advance auto has magnaflows for cheaper than 50. I really like the dual outputs though. But if some1 can tell me that the 40$ one will fit, thatd be great.

Depending on where you are in Jersey (I'm in Monmouth county), there's a Rayco muffler shop in Eatontown that quoted me $150 for an 80 series Flowmaster muffler plus installation. I know that's more than you were looking to spend but I figured I'd give you another option.

Autozone. Go factory. $30. get high flow cats and it will be loud enough.
