94 pcm replacement?

94 pcm replacement?
My 94 has a bad pcm. The only code i get is "PROM ERROR". It's my own fault since i had tried to pull codes a while back with a paperclip and thus, frying my computer.
Now, from what i have seen, the antitheft system and the pcm are 2 seperate units. My question is, can i replace the pcm alone without screwing up the antitheft? I just got the antitheft system back to normal (resistors to replace key) and dont want to have to go through it all again.

try grounding the system, unhook both battery cables and hold them together for a minute, while not connected to the battery of course. see if that will reset the computer. so long as the ecm is from a 94 and has same part/model numbers you should be good to go.

I've tried that to no avail... Im just worried about getting it all in and the pcm not recognizing the antitheft module or vice versa. and being back at square one on the antitheft. I am tired of lights on my dash. haha
