Default Water in the oil.

I had just finished series III Swapping my Camaro, and I have checked the oil a million times. I had started it up one day, and let it sit at idle, after I shut it off I noticed there was water in the oil. Car is running perfectly, no funny idle or anything that would lead me to believe something was wrong the the engine, So I'm assuming my LIM gasket was bad even though I redid all the seals on the car except the head gasket. What do you guys think? I'm not sure exactly, and I wouldn't think the head gasket would be bad since the motor only has 40k on it. Any input would be appreciated!

I would think the LIM gasket either cracked or slipped during install. Most likely cracked because if it slipped you would be sucking air somewhere. The car would idle like crap.

Do not start or drive the car with antifreeze in the oil. There is a chemical reaction at high pressure that turns the antifreeze into a acid that will melt the babbit right off the bearings.

Where did you see water in the oil? Did you drain some from the oil pan, or see it under a valve cover, or have moisture on the fill cap, or ...?

I would suspect manifold gasket ... If the car feels good and sound good then the gasket must have cracked.

Maybe one mile. It idled for about five minutes. then i checked the oil. So hopefully I didnt destroy the internals because I just spent the better part of 7 months building and replacing that motor.
