Default Tie rod replacement

Anyone ever replaced the tie rods? If so, how hard of a job would it be on a 98 camaro? What type "special" tools are needed. I need to replace one but have never worked on those nor seen anyone do it.

outer tie rod ends are very easy to change. u will need to have the front aligned after changing. no special tools. hammer and wrenches. the inner tie rod ends are harder but dont go out very often.

Count how many turns you make while taking it off. Put the new one on that many turns. That should get you into the ball park for adjustment. As craby said you will need to get it aligned after. Now would be the time to do any suspention upgrades

I just put a new set of tires on today. Tensioner assy should be here tomorrow. Need to go ahead and get the tie rods on so I can get alignment for the new treads. Suspension upgrades.............uhm, I'm thinking might save that for the Z when I get to working on it! Daughter should be happy with the new engine and tires!!!
