Default 97-02 A/C Replacement DIY

I have a 2000 Camaro with a compressor leak. I bought a remanufactured compressor with accumulator, orifice tube, PAG oil, o-rings, and 3 cans of R-134a all off ebay for under $200. I got a vacuum and will borrow a set of manifold gauges from autozone.

So, I have everything I need but a service guide to DIY. I feel confident mechanically, but I also realize that I only get one shot with this one. Does anyone have instructions for this job? I couldn't find anything in the search, but I'm not very good at it.

Thanks in advanced!

3 cans is way to much, the system only uses 26oz's, 2 cans is as close as you can get with out going to a shop that has a good machine that actually lets you type in the correct amount.

replace any and all o rings you can, the new parts should have oil in them already, mine form ebay did, if so you dont need the pag oil for anything.

replace all the parts with new, pull vacuum for a good 30 mins at least, turn/close gauges off, turn pump off, gauge should be in the - bottomed out, come back in 30 mins to an hour, if the gauge needle has moved any you still have a leak somewhere, if no movement your good to start adding 134

Awesome - thanks! I moved the thread b/c I realized I posted in the wrong place. However, do the connections take a special tool? Someone I work with mentioned the chevy's having some quick connect fittings.
