I was wondering if anyone might know what would be needed for a engine swap for a 94 firebird 3.4 to a LT1 out of a 96 caprice 9c1 ex cop car. i can get 2 of these cars running for practicaly free. any help would be greatly appreciated. my car is an auto same as the cop cars.i figured wiring,tranny,computers etc. for the gauges not sure how and if that would work.

 

I don't know if Caprices had longitudinal- or transverse-mount engines. You may want to check that out. The engine mounts might be completely different if the Caprice has a transverse setup.

The cheapest thing to do is buy a donor V-8 camaro or firebird. Almost every bolt in part is differnet V-6 to V-8 and the onlything you can use from the caprice is the striped down motor. All the other parts will need to come from the doner car.
