And Steve, 4.10s are way too much in an auto because you'll max out your gearbox at like 80 mph haha =D

 

I like my 3:73s I got that with posi. go with that. I've had em since my car was a V6 and it would burn all the way down the street even with an auto.

 

The overdrive gear in a T5 and 4l60E should be about the same. There's a crap load of people on FTV6 with 4.10's who run an auto, some with 4.56's even, and they're running in the 100+ range at the track, so what you're saying can't possibly be true.

 

Yeah, I've read about a few folks running 4.10 in their auto and love it.

 

my car would just be used for stop light racing.... honestly it'll pry never see a 1/4 track. Update on the motor to. He said the knock is worse then they thought. He was already talking about replacing the motor befor he even looked into this one Basically what we decided on is if this motor is junk, we're buying a new one and throwing it in. But if this is savable its getting a cam and headers... either way i'm ordering these 4.10s on my next pay check

I was exaggerating to make a point. Driving on the highway will be ****ty and loud. Bad mileage... You get the idea.
