the motor is not hard to change when you do it from the bottom. leaning how is the hardest part. lol. it took me a while the first time cause i didnt want to break anything. installing was a breeze. went so smooth i had to keep stopping thinking i was forgetting something.

Sounds like a nice car. Auto or Manual?
You can do the above with just a normal cherry picker engine lift, I did it with a 1 ton HF one.

Check out the thread that explains where you can get motors from https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...nt-info-57568/

I've got access to a shop with lifts, so height is no problem. About how many hours would you guess? Can you do most of it with one man? It's a manual transmission. Brand new clutch before all these motor problems too, ugh.

My guss for a good non-pro would be about 20 hour, That is switch everything over to the new motor but that will completely depend on you. A pro using air tools and a real lift I would guess 12-14 hours.

Well, I've got access to a shop for $5/hour with plenty of lifts and air tools, plus mechanics to lend a hand when needed. Being a soldier has a few perks, but this is undoubtedly the one I use the most.
