3.8L V6: Always Automatic Transmission?

RE: 3.8L V6: Always Automatic Transmission?
This is true (the header question) if you have a KKKalifornia 1995 3.8L car as, well, they were only California cars and all had auto trannies.
One of my customers has a 1998 3.8L Firebird with a 3.8L and a 5-speed stickshifter as well. I guess he impounded it from a local DUI pullover and it's waiting to be bought for $2500. Nobody who has looked wanted to let their kid learn on a stickshifter. Boooo.
Really sweet looking and that Navy Blue type color....with that Ram Air package as well.
If my Ranger wasn't already a stickshifter, I'd be on that one and sell off my Camaro. And put an LS1 in place of that 3.8L before too long...

For your second question there, I believe you were referring to the 3.4's they used in the V6 Camaros before the 3.8 came along. Yes, the 3.8 is an entire world of improvement over the 3.4. The 3.8 makes 200hp, the 3.4 came equipped with 164 or something in that neighborhood. The 3.8 also makes 236 torque, again I think that is the correct number, if not, very close. Bone stock, a 3.8 would massacre a 3.4
The only advantage of the 3.4, in my opinion, is that since they've been around longer, more mods have been created for them. Finding a supercharger for a 3.4 is much easier than for the 3.8, trust me, I've tried. They're out there, but very hard to get your hands on.
