Need help trouble shooting. My check engine light comes on every once in a while but usually goes off by its self with in a few minutes. Two different codes popped up one for a transmission slipping and another for a cylinder 3 misfire I don't know whether the transmission is going out or whether its something else need help please????

 

We have a code for the tranny slipping too. I don't do anything to the tranny except change fluid because I don't have the tools nor the knowledge so I can't help. However, when I drive the car, it drives fine. My son has complained a few times about it slipping but I figured it was from the way he was driving it at the time.

Check your tranny fluid to make sure it is not burnt and at the proper level.
