3.4L V6 mods?

RE: 3.4L V6 mods?
well personally I havnt look into the exact performance results of the different types of intakes, I have the same year and engine camaro and dont use mine for serious racing, so Ive heard the the K&N FIPK is quite nice at 200 bucks, but then again I wouldnt know what the performance difference is between that and the 40 dollar stage II i bought off ebay which sucks a lot of air and definately helped open up the lungs in my camaro
as far as the exhaust goes to save yourself some money if its performance your looking for just stick with the exhaust you got they dont differ that much for our cars for performance, the only difference you would get swapping out that exhaust for another one thats comparable is the sound of it.....I think theres a site out there with some sound clips that have a couple 3.4's on it......since you already have exhaust go ahead and get some headers thing will sound mean as hell (and will notice the increase in power with your exhaust, intake, headers all installed), cant wait until i get a little extra cash to buy some....

Does anybody think this would be worth buying? Or would a K&N performance air intake be better?

Sounds like a gimmick to me. The sale page says it plugs into the intake sensor. My question would be which sensor, and how does that affect ECM mapping? Just changing a sensor reading won't changing fuel mapping much, maybe a 2 hp gain. It should just set off an error code.
