Default 3.4L V6 mods?

Are there any good modifications that I can make to my stock 3.4L V6 to add some significant HP to it?

what fuel injectors would be good for a 3.4l? i asked this mechanic about fuel injectors and he acted like anything other then stock replacement fuel injectors would throw the computer off and the sensors and mess everything up lol.

I read it on another site that I got from a post from this forum. The current ones are 16lb and are only good up to 160hp and after that they become less and less efficient and cost you more gas. Upgrading anything on the engine will offset the computer. So reset the computer.

You can get a good boost in power by replacing the heads with 3400 heads and rockers from a late model W car, a good high revving cam, and a set of headers. The computer will need to be seriously reprogrammed. Use the injectors from the 3400 engine. A 4.11 rear will complement the engine well.

And make sure you start with cold air intake, headers, and a good cat back exhaust. Always do the basics first.

Lee is right on that, these mods are cheap and easy, these are the only mods I have done to my camaro right now but I have spent hardly any time or money, I went with one of those stg2 cold air intakes off ebay for like 40 bucks shipped, and the exhaust i went with the tsp rumbler and very happy with both, noticeable increase in power off the line and now my car just sounds mean as hell....message me if you decide to go this route and have any installation questions...

GM offers a performance cam for 60degree v6's
PN # 12363220 as a lone cam
PN # 12364059 as a kit with with tappets for 2.8 and 3.1 motors.
uses hydraulic flat tappets.
duration of 204 intake and 216 exhaust
lift is .427" intake and .454" exhaust

Also the catalog states you can use small block cam bearings in the front and rear positions for a wider bearing serface.
Just make sure the oil hole is located between the 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock position when viewed from the front of the block.
