You really should got out a test drive you buddies car then a V8. Also get an insurance quote for both.

With then NO2 you want to do a lot of research. If you buddy put upgraded pistons and rings and put a good set of head gaskets in when he rebuilt it it could be a nice upgrade.

Liberty,
Do you know anyone running that kit? it looks like a dry kit. With a dry kit I would not go over a 50 shot without a fuel system upgrade. I would like to find a decent wet kit with 75 shot.

^ No, I don't know anyone running nitrous in a V6 Fbody, LS1 yea. That kit is the one Maryland Speed advertises for V6 FBodies...

Funny thing is, as much as I have never wanted to, nitrous is looking appealing on the V6, just because of the dearth of TC/SC options out there... ;-)

I would phone Maryland Speed and ask them, some knowledgeable shops and call the vendor of the product... I'm not to knowledgeable on nitrous -- yet. ;-)

I test drove the 3.8 today. And wow what a remarkable difference in power from my 3.4! I also drove an lt1 today and fell in love. I can't afford the insurance for the lt1 tho. So I'm more interested in the 3.8. I think I'd kill myself in a V8. I have quite a lead foot and the 3.8 was plenty powerful enough for my liking. And the MPG's are a little better I hear.

I love my 3.8. My buddy has a 94 with the 3.4 and used to brag about all the cars he stomped and that he could take GTP's. I happened to meet up on a road with him when I got my Camaro and had no problem with him. I have a feeling he likes to think hes driving his daddy's 35th SS with all the racing stories he tells . But you'll love the 3.8.

Thanks for the input guys. I got offered $2800 for my car yesterday. Then the guy went and bought a different car. Kinda sucks. I had that 3.8 lines up for insurance and getting it licensed and everything. Guess I'll have to wait for someone else to come along and take it off my hands

I love my 3.8. I have put about 20K on it over the last year and I still look forward to driving it. I had it in for inspection the other day and I had to drive my Tahoe. It had been a while since I drove it so I thought it might be cool. Yea, that lasted about 10 minutes. First time I tried to weave thru some traffic I wanted my Camaro back.

I too was thinking the V8 6 speed but for me insurance would kill me. My daughter has two minor fender benders and bam I am at high risk. Here in PA anything I own she must be insured to drive. Luckly that is not true for my 67 cause its classic insurance.
