I have a short in my circuit. (the circuit that has tail lights, rear hatch, cd player, front dash lights. i think thats it) i don't really know electricty, other than to disconnec the negative cable so i don't fry myself. lol. i think it happened when i hit a HUGE pot hole. my tire went all the way in and out. a friend has told me that it's probably a short in my tail light. before i start digging does anyone agree or disagree? My second problem is i need to put a new window motor on my driver sidewindow. I know that they made an OEM one but i don't know if exactly what it looks like and when i search for it, "window regulator" comes up alot. i also don't know how to put it on but i have a haynes guide. again ANY advice would be very much apprecitated. thanks .

Everything else you described comes off the Body Control Module (BCM). Not sure if the tail lights do though. Check all fuses.

 

i would have to double check but there might be a relay that tuns all of them i am not by my haynes right now but will check later. It is common for GM to run most or all of those through one relay. if anyoen has a manual around and can check please confirm or correct me.
