Default 3.8 not running well

Hi all, I'm only a noob here and to Camaro's in fact any american vehicle, as i am in Ireland.

My problem is it drives great when its cold for about 2 miles, then it looses power the odd misfire under heavy acceleration, it idle's good and cruises good. its just seems to go from 190 bhp to 90 bhp - I have read through the Forums buy all the acronyms you guys use have me stumped, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks

Only have it a week, looks like its a Japanese import, under heavy acceleration a small light which seems to have heat waves over it comes on.?????

Can't go wrong with a good tune up if you don't know if it's been done. Next get it scanned to see if it's throwing codes.
