Hello all. I have a 1982 Camaro Berlinetta edition with a 2.8L V6 Automatic. I am looking to swap with a 305 out of a 3rd Gen Camaro Would my transmission work with the V8. Is there just a better way to do it etc.

tranny won't fit ... bellhousing is different. sick

60 degree V6. I think they were made all they up to 3.4L

I'm thinking of doing the same swap as you and as I found out earlier from others mentioned, the trans is different. I'm in the quest to find a complete engine/trans combo from a 3rd gen. Good luck on yours.
