well i just got the car for $1000 good deal for what it is and the condition of the car but something in the head on #1 cylinder is clicking im thinkin bent valve or something with the valve spring and if im going to pull the heads i thought id go ahead and look into performance heads. i may just have to drop big money into the heads but if it can be avoided id preffer it.

He said something IN the head. Loose rockers (or those without oil)can cause a clicking sound also.

Yeah but buying new heads will not solve his problem like he is thinking. Which is why I referred to it as thus.

well ithink that one of the valves on the number 1 cylinder isnt seating im getting a missfire bank 1 code so i think the valve isnt seating and when it ignites it blows up into the head. i dont know if rockers can cause that. when i got the car the oil was about 1-1 1/2 inches over the full mark on the dipstick, i dont know if the previous owner was trying to fix the knock by adding oil, and not knowing that it sloshes the oil and makesit harder for the oil pump to pump oil,or if it caused the knock from lack of lubrication.
