Default 1995 3.4L STEAM HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well posted a thread not too long ago about maybe having oil from my valve cover gaskets leak onto my exhaust and steam or smoke. But the more I think about it oil would not burn off as a steam and this is a steam. You can smell antifreeze when your out there but I personally don't smell it my dad does. So was wondering if there could be anyway coolant would leak onto the exhaust, I see no hoses anywhere near where it would leak on the exhaust it only steams on the drivers side. Thanks a lot and HELP!!!!!!!!

Have you been losing coolant? And yes oil will produce a white smoke if it falls on to exhaust parts, but if your losing coolant you probably blew a head gasket.

Nope no coolant leak and it has never leaked or lost any coolant. Only thing made me start wondering about this is that the smoke was white. But around my valve covers you can see slight leakage so that is what it must be. Just wanted to go to the process of elimination before I did anything thanks a lot.

You could be losing coolant from a leak between the intake manifold and the head. It could be a slow dribble, could be running along the valley between the manifold and head, or even starting towards the back of the manifold, and then running down in back of the block where you don't see it. You stated you (or your dad) can smell antifreeze. Simple fact is, if you can smell it, you're losing it externally somewhere. Keep looking.

Could a coolant leak be more severe than the valve cover gaskets? I am dropping it off at the grage I work for tommarow morning before school. He is doing a alignment and checking to see where and what is leaking. Thanks a lot I will tell him that I could smell coolant and that should help him out a lot. Thanks and I will let everyone know thanks a lot.
