What do you guys think of the brand Exedy? I found a clutch kit from them for $145 shipped.

Check out the Centerforce dual friction. They are good up the 280hp range and they are very streetable. If you have never owned a stag 3 clutch it can be tuff to explain what a pain they are to use every day. You will learn to hate it. Stage 3 clutch is way over kill for a 3.4.

I have been driving stick camaros since I was 15 (yes that was a long time ago) been there done that with the big clutch when I was young. 11” 3600 lb Ram clutch in a 280hp 74/4 speed. What a mistake. Sure I never wore out the clutch but in the next 4 years I replaced every part in the clutch linkage, some of them twice. My 67 is 350hp and has half the clutch that I had in my 74 had and it drives so much nicer driving around town.

You do NOT want to go with the cheap V6 clutch kits. The internet is loaded with horror stories of those kits not lasting 2 months. Even the “AC delco” kit is nowhere near as good as the original factory clutch. I am a cheap SOB but doing a clutch kit every 2 months in not saving money. Whatever kit you are looking at go to one of the larger V6 sights and search it. Even some of the higher end clutch kits have very bad reviews. I know the Spec 2 clutch is very respected in the LT1 world but unless they changed something their V6 version is complete crap.

I only have $150 to get my car on the road. It's my daily driver so I don't have much choice but to get something cheap.

Yeah I've changed the tranny in two hours so a clutch shouldn't be too much longer than that. Lol and and clutch that's in it has been in since two summers ago and it's an oreillys clutch.
