Transmission problems

Default Transmission problems

I was driving down the freeway and my transmission like sliped out gear the about 40 seconds later it went back into gear. What could this be?

auto trans? did you check the trans fluid level?

Yes it is an auto, I check the fluid and it was low.

how low? if low enough it will cause it to slip as has happened.

I have a 2000 z/28. The asr light comes on at highway speed. The light goes out at restart. the care shifts hard when this occurs and idles high. Any idea's ?

is speedometer working correctly? if so i would look at the speed sensors at the wheels. front are the common fail.

Default

Found out it was TPS switch that was giving me fits with the shifting and idle. Will try the sensor check when it warms up around here. Thanks for the reply.
