Default Torque Converter Cleaning

I had a failed 3/4 clutch and am replacing with a Performabuilt level 2. I pulled the pan and there is clutch material in the bottom. The torque converter is a yank SS3600 with about 100 miles on it. Is there a way clean it out as to not contaminate the new trans?

had one do something similar and had the converter rebuilt. not sure performabuilt will warranty without new or rebuilt converter.

It appears the only way to ensure a clean TC is to have it cut and cleaned, yank will do it fit $300, same price to get it done locally.
