Default clutch pedal vibrates then clutch goes out

finally got my car running after changing the entire ignition system. on my way to work last night, the clutch pedal was vibrating the whole time. whether engaged or disengaged. it had good pressure to start off but slowly lost it on the way to work. came over the bridge and the pedal goes to the floor with very little resistance and won't engage gear. it is not a new clutch. the last time it was worked was about 10 years ago. is it normal for a clutch to go out that fast or is that normal time? or is it another issue completely? I've only ever rebuilt transmissions not worked on clutches. please help.

Have you checked the fluid level? Might be low and will probably need to be bled if it is. If the clutch slave is leaking it won't last much longer but you might get by for a while checking the fluid and topping it off as needed. It may also be shot completely, could also be the pressure plate took a crap but I'd check the slave first.
