Default 98 Z28 Shifts HARD!

Hi,
I am new to the forum and just bought a Camaro,

1998 Z28 LS1 140K miles

The transmission shifts hard from 1st to second! Here is the back ground on the Transmission from the owner......

It was just recently built using Corvette Servos, Higher line pressure, Kevlar plates?, Shift kit installed, tuned and a whole bunch of other **** I don't understand......but she flys! Anyways just wondering if this is the nature of a built tranny or if I should take it in to get inspected?

Chances are if its been "tuned" they messed with the shift tables/time and that's what's causing it. Without actually seeing your tune its difficult to say 100% what it is. Do you have a way to pull the tranny tune and show us?

The items in bold are what affects shift firmness. "Tuned" is another possible one.
Considering how it was put together, what you are experiencing would be considered "normal".
Drive it and enjoy the neck snaps and tire chirps!
