Default 94 v6 problems.

So, I have a 94 3.4L Camaro with an auto. I picked it up for free from my dads friend who owns an impound lot, so I don't know a lot of history on the car. In the beginning, the transmission just leaked from the front, and shortly after it began to slip when accelerating from a standstill. Also, when transitioning from Park to Drive or Reverse, the car kinda... clunks and lurches into gear. But it doesn't have any shifting issues besides that. And also I should point out that my car idles high, around 2000-2300 (Once it is put into drive, the RPMS go back to normal). I've been hearing that it could be my torque converter, Any thoughts?

sounds like you have more than one issue. trans pump, vacuum leak, carrier bearing come to mind.

And the high idle is why you're getting a clunk when shifting into gear. Consider that "normal" under the circumstances.
