Exclamation 700r4 Hesitation

Hey Everyone, Im new to the forum and i have a question. I just bought a 91 camaro RS. Its got a 305 with a 700r4. When it shifts from first into second and then from 2nd into 3rd the transmission hesitates for a couple seconds before it shifts. It doesnt seem to slip at all it just hesitates before shifting. I was just wondering if the trans is pretty much shot or if there is something that will fix this. The oil is full and doesnt seem to be burnt. thanks

When driving normally (modest right foot), your 1-2 shift should happen around 15 mph. Start with checking the TV cable adjustment (link below), and see if that changes anything for the better. I had a 91, and I had better luck adjusting the cable by working the throttle linkage by hand at the TB. Using the gas pedal method didn't ratchet the adjuster at all.

As does my manual. But I had seen other "helpful" write-ups that says to mash the pedal to the floor. I probably saw that one when I set the TV for the first time a number of years ago, then figured it out myself that that can't be right!
