6 Speed Swap
Hey guys I have a 1994 z28. Its original transmission is the 4l60e. Ive searched in and out of these threads and cannot find the answer to my question. I have every part I need to swap in my t56. The question I have is I know you need to retune for the tachometer and speedometer, and other parameters, but will I be able to start and drive it without a tune? Thanks!

When you say you have all the parts do you mean you have the T56 PCM and wiring harness?
The speedometer needs to match up with the rear and tire size the PCM is programmed to. The transmission would have no effect. I have no idea why a transmission change would have any effect on the tach?

I have the t56, the hydraulics, pedal assy, new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and all the necessary pigtails. My car is already tuned for my 383 thats currently in the car now, so I couldn't just throw a m6 pcm in it.

So you are going to have a check engine lite because the computer can not detect any of the transmission connections/inputs. You are going to have to do some wiring for your reverse lights. You are also going to need to add a safety switch so you can not crank the car with out clutch pushed. I assume you are just by pass your current safety switch.
Again as long as the speed sensor is plugged in I do not see why the speedometer would be an issue.
