Cool 1999 z28 air shocks

Please help me if you can. I'm installing Monroe rear air shocks on my wife's 1999 z28 and can't seem to find a 90 degree elbow that will work for the air supply tubing on these Monroe's. The installation kit is really lame & doesn't offer any solution for the tight area where the lines attach to the shocks.

Yes I found a 90 but it won't work as there is a lip that sticks out about 1/4 of an inch before you come in contact with the threads, the $52 adapters on e-bay probably won't work either I think they are too big.So i'm going to put them back in the boxes and send them back to Autoplicity and send Tenneco{Monroe} an e-mail voicing my disappointment with their product.
Tomorrow i'll throw a set of Gabriel Hijackers on it.I think they will work as the valve for the air tube points down.
