There is a swap thread but I do not think it covers the LS1. You need the whole Kmember, all the wiring even into the Dash and the dash cluster, you need the entire cooling system, Fuel lines and sending unit/pump. Everything the is connected to the motor you need, If you have the chance you want to grab the rear also.

The 2002 will plug right into the body harness without any issues. I would just swap to a 155 mph cluster for obvious reasons 
The suspension should be the same besides the kmember.
