Understood, I was a little worried about it as well... Do you think I can just vent it into the front wheel well, air intake or the air pump for the emissions test?

I am still looking for a PCM if anyone has a lead of one....

Second: I am trying to work on my TB while I have it off and need help. I have read up on the "drill-mod" for the IAC passage and cant seem to figure it out... It seems like my TB already has a passage to the IAC, and Im not sure where I am supposed to drill the hole (or if its even necessay in my case) The car does seem to react/idle better with the stock TB, but I also cleaned a lot of carbon and crap off of my IAC and the housing when I switched TB's. Here are the pics of my 52mm Edelbrock/BBK unit, can someone please help me with this? I dont want to have split BLM's with my tune and hope to hit the dragstrip this summer, so Id like this mod out of the way while the TB is off the car and all clean.

I assume I just need to insert a 1/2" piece of copper on the inside passage that is notched to not cover the hole?

I have already swapped back to the stock T/B, I know I need to "rig" my fans to get the engine temp up higher and I have a small vapor leak to fix... other than wiring the air pump to run for the test, putting in 85 octane and some denatured alcohol, what Im out of ideas...

Please help!
A mechanic friend of mine has a trick for passing emissions test. This may be too late for you though. Run the gas down to empty and put in 1 or 2 gallons of camp stove fuel or what they use on boat stoves. Not sure what it's actually called. It burns 100% clean so it won't pass anything by the sniiffer to fail the test.

I appreciate it, I did buy a gallon of Denatured Alcohol and plan on running that, Im just concerned that with my tune I may still have issues... I am concerned that the fan temps are too low, the air pump, EVAP and EGR are deleted in my tune (although still hooked up) I do also need to track down any/all vapor leaks still.

I will see what happens I guess, it would just be easier to shove a stock computer in it and roll at this point... ugh!

Update:

I purchased a factory ECU from a guy on LS1Tech and am awaiting its arrival, I still need to go over all the evap system for leaks and function, then Ill try emissions again. Im going to use about a half tank of 85 octane and a gallon of denatured alcohol and hope for the best on the stock tune, wish me luck.

Camaro 69,

Thank you, we sell that stuff at my part time job, I thought about trying that also. Do you think that the denatured alcohol will do the same thing since I already bought it?
