Ok just so we are clear here anyone post whoring, making rude comments or posting things not pertaining directly to this rebuild will have their posts removed and a warning sent out, or possibly receive infractions or even be banned. I just cleared about 10 posts of nonsense. The goal here to provide a journal of sorts to members following her progress rebuilding her engine.

Did a bunch today. All the parts are cleaned up now. I painted some of them too. Not everything is painted, a storm rolled in pretty quick. Tomorrow I'm going to get the pink enamel to finish up the intake and valve covers. Hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow and I can finish all the painting. I have before and after pics of some of the parts, to show just how nasty it was, but they're on my phone and I don't feel like getting them off right now. I'll do it sometime later.

im really happy with the powder coat on the intake. no worring about heat damage or peeling paint. cost 100 bucks to get it done though so if you have a bud that will do it cheap itll be worth it. maybe when you have the heads ported in a couple yrs. should do the pink stripes on the top of the intake where the ridges are.

Attack of the pink! I got my pink enamel today. I went with a darker color because the people at Baps said it would eventually fade a little with time because of the heat. The valve covers are done, they just need a little detail touch ups which I'll do when they dry completely. The intake is partially finished. There was some over spray after the initial pink coating, so I'm letting it dry (I touched up the over spray) and then I'll go back and finish the lettering/numbering and do touch ups.
