Question Re-Install A/C System

I'm re-installing factory A/C & Heating to my 1998 Z28 convertible, but am a novice with A/C systems and parts. Whoever stripped the A/C mounted a delete plate on the firewall, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what was removed from this area. Short of tracking down another 98 Z for pictures and advice, can anyone tell me what I need to restore to original?

There's a expansion valve there. It may still be there but no lines. can you take a pic?

I think I found the parts. There's a top and bottom evaporator core casing (box) that fits thru the firewall and protrudes into the engine compartment. The evaporator lines come through the top part of that casing. The 98 uses an orifice tube in a line from the condensor to the evaporator. Thanks to friend with GM A/C diagram and BrocksCamaro.com.

Where did you find the AC diagram? Mine is missing some parts and I can't tell what I need to replace.

Friend from Ohio got copies from Chev. dealership and sent to me. If you have a fax I can send to you. Do you need engine compartment or passenger compartment diagram? I'm not sure I can scan and then forward to this site, but will try.
