Most of the heat went into the Stainless Y-pipe since that was what i wanted to expand. The pounding was with a rubber mallet on the Y-pipe. I am using the stock Cat just cause I had to draw a line somewhere. If i have to remove it I will have to cut it off so if it gives my any problems replacment is the only option.

Sounds good to me, was just curious. If you do have a problem down the road, the magnaflow cats have proven to be durable. I believe they make the carsound cats too.

So i am putting the finish touchs on my project. You know filling the oil, installing the CAI and I went to hook up the battery and I realized I had no ground terminal. I looked all over for it and found the ground cable still bolted to my old 3.8. Doh! I won't bore you with what I have to go thru to get it installed right but if anyone is thinking of a 3.8 engine swap from a car that is not the same year DON'T FORGET THE GROUND BATTERY CABLE before you put the motor back in.

Other then that everything seems to be going good. If I can get the cable thing fixed I hope to back out of the garage tomorrow.
This is how I started the morning

Trying to remember that ground, doesn't it go to the back of the head? If I've got it right, that'll be a lot of fun.

That would be easy. This ground goes to the rear AC compressor bracket under the header.

it's alive, IT's ALIVE
Seems real smooth, no lites except ABS. If I remember right the ABS was on before I pulled the motor. Sorry I have not figured the whole video thing out. I will take a better video next weekend. Hopfully the road test

Congrats! It's always a good feeling. Just finished a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse powertrain swap myself.
