For every increment you go up on the width, go down one increment on the sidewall. For instance:

245/50/16
235/55/16
225/60/16

The wheels are only 8" wide..crap....hoping I can get at least 255's on them. I also managed to get a dash pad from the junk yard in only about 6 pieces...lol...I've been using fiberglass mat and resin to glue it back together. I got it all back together now and am smoothing out the top where the pieces didn't exactly line up perfectly. Next is to glue some "pleather" on top. It won't be perfect, but I just can't see myself spending $300 for a new one. Here are some progress pics.

Heres the piece I will be gluing onto it.

Damn, was hoping the rims were 9in so you could get the 275's.
Good luck with the dash seems like you have a good thing going so far.

Also I know it's your car but I saw in another thread you mentioned wanting/liking your skirt better painted body color. IMO it looks great in black to contrast the red. I feel like it makes it look more aggressive especially with the black wheels. Just my 2cents.

Well, I've been doing some googling and it seems there are a lot of people with 275's on 8" wheels without issues but I think I will stick with 265/40's on the back and 245/45's on the front.

Ive got 255's on the rear of mine and they went on fine and no problems. Granted the only problem i had was a little rubbing but im also lowered 2 inches lol. I vote keep the black lip but the wheels are sexy!

Hopefully I can get 265's in them. I'm also getting window tint put on today.

Been busy lately, finally got my ac working again. Scored a compressor, high and low pressure hose sets off ebay for $100, Replaced the drier, and expansion valve at the same time since the system has been open for who knows how long. Also had to replace the clutch electrical connector because whoever did the ac delete just cut it off and all I had was wires. Found one at a junk yard and the guy there just gave it to me for free. Put a can of oil and 3 cans of R-134. Compressor kicked on after about 1-1/2 cans were put in. Blowing cold cold air! Finally!

Also repaired some holes and repainted in the headlight area. The previous owner at some point had screwed brackets on for the headlight covers and I wanted to fix the holes and repaint. Used plastidip because no matter how much I tried, could not get it completely smooth, and the plastidip kinda hides minor imperfections. I removed my wade headlight covers, just did not like the way it looked. I did order some GTS probeam headlight covers. Will post pics when I get them installed.

Also, while I was installing the compressor, I decided to get rid of that elephant trunk resonator thing on the intake, the one that hangs down in front of the radiator. Removed it and used two pieces of aluminum and some sealant. Makes the K&N sound better.

Going to be getting some new tires on the black rims soon, now that I got the AC working I can get back to the modding...

Help me decide. Hope I didn't waste nearly $200 on these things:

First with no covers:

Then with the smoked wade covers:

Now with the GTS Probeams:
