. Plus like i stated, no annoying humps. My passengers always remind me how annoying that hump is to them on long drives.

PS: sorry jk, did not mean to spam your thread, but on subject from here on out I promise [/QUOTE]

annoying hump equals lower ground clearance that's
a good thing

Coming home from work the other day I ran over something that punctured one of my front tires. I had to drive a mile or so to get to a spot to change it, doing that apparently ruined the sidewall even though it was not completely flat....anyhoo, to make a long story short, discount tire does not stock my tires and had to order it and it wont be in till Thursday, so I got some downtime. Decided to remove the rear bumper cover and start prepping it for paint. Got it off and all sanded down. I got some body work to do on it, then I'll prime it and paint it.

It was at this point I realized there is a nut inside the wheel well for one of the studs....broke one off getting to this point.

Had to order the brackets because I broke half the studs because I kept missing the nuts holding them on...lol

Back of these things looks like the delorean from back to the future...lol

Finished product. I coulda killed myself when I dropped the filler panel on it and scratched it in two places.....

Sanded down and cracked panel repaired:

Base coat drying:

Some last minute repairs at the corner:

Clear coat on:

Installed. I'll get better pics when it gets nicer outside:

All in all it went pretty well. Some lessons learned, I should have left it on the car. I would not have damaged it that way. I also used plastidip as a base coat because I wanted it tro remain somewhat flexible since it is plastic after all. This lead to a final finish that is not exactly glass smooth. But it works for me so I'm not complaining. It's 100% better than it looked before.
