With the size of those bolts and nuts, you'll be fine with the red loctite and will be able to get em back off if you ever need to. You don't want to use the red on small bolts.....like smaller than 3/8".

^ That. I wasn't sure how big the bolts were. We had a caliper core for a 1 ton truck come into work once that had (I think) 16mm bolts on it for the bracket. They needed the bolts back and they used red loctite on the bolt last time they had it apart. We tried every thing to get it to come lose. Never did get it out. Hahah. Blue if you don't want it to vibrate loose. Red, if you never want them to come apart.

Coming from the only other active RS owner on the forum, it means a lot. Thanks! I have to get the body kit taken care of the right way this time, though. A body shop should be able to repair it and paint it, yes? Or would they only work on the car itself?

They must have soaked down the threads with the stuff then. All you need to use is a drop. I've never had a problem getting red loctited (if thats a word) bolts or nuts loose.

For your brave use of the word Loctite as a verb, I'll allow it

So, quick update just to keep this interesting:

Found the wheels I want, and I'm officially sold on them. The bad part? They're sold out, and may not be restocked for another 3 weeks at least . At least this will give me the time to save up the money for the set, including tires and lugs. Now to decide if I want the staggered set of 18x9.5/17x9.5 or just 17x9.5 all around.

Also, took a couple weeks and a LOT of emails with GM, but I was able to find the retainers necessary for the right side skirt of the body kit, which means I no longer need the makeshift retainers I took so long to build, haha. I still need to find a way to get the front spoiler fixed. Not too good with fiberglass as far as repairs go, so I'll have to find a body shop willing to do the repairs for me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I got some new front tires (About time, treads were nearly perfectly smooth). 245/50/R16 Ventus V2. Also, I'd recommend staying away from PepBoys for any tire or wheel work. Not that you probably didn't know that already :-D
