You have long tubes? If so, should have stuffed them in before the block went in. Makes it a lot easier.

My long tubes slide right in the top with the car on the ground. Takes all of 20 seconds to get them set in on each side. She’s getting close!!

WTH. I have to fight mine...I think. It's been two years since I've had it apart.

Well. It’s together. Won’t start though. It’s popping in the exhaust and acting like it’s out of time. I’m thinking the shaft that drives the opti is off by a spline. From what I’ve read, it’s a pretty common mistake. Taking it back apart tonight.. Wish me luck.

i have gotten the back two plug wires wrong before. also have gotten them wrong on the opti, thought the firing order was different. easy to do. not so easy to get splined shaft in wrong. can damage the opti if you do. hope its working for you.

Craby wins. Had the whole driver side bank wrong. Fixed the plug wires and it fired right up!! Now I’m just waiting for the email tune to get here so I can upload it and start breaking in the new engine. Here’s an untuned idle video with open headers. Enjoy!!
