Any time they see me they get on their radios and say "pull out your ticket books boys! Corey's in town!"... Lol thanks for the advice spartan! You're right, I drive way less than sensibly. Honestly I've cooled my driving habits quite a bit but apparently not enough. Anyways. What's done is done and can't be changed. I bought a new hood and fender today. I also went to the paint shop and bought a quart of paint and clear. I'm going to have a friend of mine paint everything from the mirrors, forward. Should turn out nice! I'll post updates as the progress comes along.

Took the car to Kwik Kar yesterday to try and track down my oil leak. Looks like it's either the valve cover gasket or the lower intake gasket. There's oil all over the back of the head, the bellhousing, the tranny, the y-pipe, the starter, and the headers... JOY! So my plan is this:

Buy a head gasket set
Buy 1.6 Roller Rockers
Buy Valve Springs
Buy Pushrods
Tear the top end of the engine apart
Have my broke off header bolts drilled out at the machine shop
Have the heads re surfaced at the machine shop
Re seat my valves and replace the ones that are bent
Put it all back together and have a nice tight top end with NO OIL LEAKS!!!

Now I'm just waiting on my taxes to come back so I can do that and have the car painted!

I had the same problem. The cap where the distributor would be had its gasket go out. I bought one of these and it solved my issue. Duralast By Felpro/Distributor Mounting Gasket (70194) | 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 8 Cylinders 4.9L 4BL HP | AutoZone.com

Chaotic, one more thing to add to your shopping list: a catch can for your crankcase breather. With those many miles, and tightening up just the heads, don't be surprised if you end up having more ring blow-by than you may or may not have now.

This right here. There is one bolt holding it down. I believe the oil pump is down there some where.

That's the oil pump drive, not for a dizzy. But ya it can leak there.
