Be sure to let us know if that affects your charging system, especially at night with your lights on and with the stereo thumpin.

I run my lights during the day because of the looks factor with the blue head lights and white marker lights. I got stuck in traffic for a few minutes with 1500watts of stereo system pounding and it seemed to be fine. The voltage gauge never dropped below the half mark.

I'm going to test it later with the lights, rear defrost, stereo, and interior lights on at idle and see what happens. Anything else I should turn on for testing? lmao

Turn on your heater blower fan, and the lighted disco ball you have hanging from the mirror.
When your radiator fan kicks on is another drop.
You don't have A/C any more, so you don't have to worry about that drag.

Alright I put the car through a couple of tests and I expected what happened. While driving around under normal conditions in town, the battery and Alt. seemed to do just fine with everything turned on. However, with the car idling for 10 minutes of jamming music and headlights and everything else on, the battery lost it's charge. I didn't notice it until I turned off the car and then tried to start it again. So basically if you're the type to leave your car idling for 10 minutes with your stereo, rear defrost, interior lights, head lights, and heater fans all running with under drive pulleys, be sure to carry jumper cables! lmao!

^ So basically, if you're stuck in traffic in the dead of winter, and want to keep warm and well lit, you're screwed!

Do you have a power capacitor hooked up with your stereo equipment?
