IMO, the serious modding can wait until the engine eats itself completely. There are a lot of 3.4s around, so if there are any pick-a-part yards in your area, you could probably find a replacement intake manifold pretty easily (it's fairly simple to remove).
Also, do you have a backup DD for doing the work on the Camaro? I've learned from experience that it's much easier to get extremely frustrated working on your car when you actually need to drive it.

There are no donor motors to be had around here for less than $500... I work at Enterprise Rent a Car so transportation is not an issue.
I already have the intake manifold. It came in the mail today. The guy who will be helping me said we can get the whole project done in a weekend. This is including the cam, roller rockers, valve springs, valves, seats, retainers, locks, push rods, lifters, timing set, valve stem seals, and headers. That's also including machining the heads. Not to mention it's only costing me like $1000. $275 for the cam set, $125 for the roller rockers, $60 for the head gasket set, $180 for all new valves, $250 for headers, and $100 for labor. I'll have a brand new top end and some added power. Well worth the money IMO

Hmmmm man, I dunno about that plan. Your engine is already showing symptoms of having ring blow-by issues.
A nice tight upper half is going to make that issue even worse.

Idk man, I just hate to see you put money into engine internals on a car over 200k. It's frustrating when the motor goes, but more so when you just bought parts for it. If I were you I'd keep watch on Craigslist and make some friends at the pick and pull yard and wait for a low miles motor to come through. Buy it and add to that motor.
