Has anyone ever had this problem with the 12-disc cd changer? It doesn't play and it only displays the disc number but not the track number. After a few more seconds it displays "err". Mechanically it seems to function. It cycles through the discs and it knows how many disc are in the magazine, but that's it. It all started after I had partially disassembled the player to get a b***h of a stuck disc out. I figured I must have ruined the player so I just went ahead and got another one--same bloody problem (@#$%^) Has anyone ever seen this condition, and found a solution? ty

 

Here's are pages from from the service manual to troubleshoot a CD player problem. From what I can understand from the chart, the problem could be in the radio unit itself. Follow the steps in the chart and see what you come up with.
