Default TIRED OF THE DINGING.

When I sit in my car at night ... I like to turn on my Leds and radio and light up pedals (thats it).....I have my LEDS hooked up to my fog lights switch which is set for my LEDS and light up pedals...... so when I turn it on that Freakin DING DING DING DING starts and it Really pissed me off...( the thing thats trying to tell me " DERR YOUR INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE ON DERRR" ) And I want to make that stop...How do I DESTROY THAT DINGING!?

Thanks.

Just turn it on then... or just dont sit in it when its off. But if its really that important, just find the spaker that makes the noise and kill it.

there are wires going to your BCM that if cut, would disable that dinging (depenging on year). The only problem is the one i know of also is for the radio, so your out of luck there. I'm not sure what its called that makes the dinging but i would try and install a switch to one of the wires that leads to that. It's best to keep it simple. My key is used enough where when turned backwards i can pull it out just enough to stop the dinging.. Lucky Me

[sm=wakeup.gif]You definatly dont want to start cutting up your factory wiring so you can get your light up pedals to work. Personally I think you should lose those things alltogether.

There should be a module for the "dinging", find it and disconnect it if it bothers you so much. I honestly don't know what else you'd lose i know in my old toyota i lost all interior lights. i ended up taking it apart and all that made the noise was a small metal band with a tiny electro magnet to move it so i bent it back and viola.. Not saying it will work for a Camaro but just for example. Wire your Stuff up right and you won't have any problems. if you really want the stuff then its worth it.

When Im sitting in my car with the key all the way in and the dinging starts going, I just pull the key out a lil bit like bill said and it stops. I think when I barely pull it out it disengages that black plastic thing that is pushed into the middle of the key and it stops the dinging. Im no expert but trial and error always works for me.

Not sure if you are still have the dinging issue or not but, if you lay upside down under the driver's side console while the dinging is going on you should be able to find the little black box with the tiny speaker on it. You will have to remove the bottom console cover but I believe that is only like 4 screws. Just be careful, when I removed mine I would find myself with a dead battery in the morning from leaving the lights on.

If you are talking about the dinging when ur door is open...then i found that theres a little button on the like the jam of the door where the hinges are ... its like a little white button so what i do is just push it in with my foot so it thinks the door is closed i dunno if thats the same dinging....or not...but i hope it helped

I think if you have light up pedals, you're lucky you on;y have a "dinging". what you need is a car that also gives you a dopeslap for putting those things on your car in the first place
