Default Steernig Wheel Swap

I have an '02 with the base steering wheel (no leather--some kind of foamy business), and I'd really like the smaller wheel out of the 1993-1998 with leather. Does anyone know if I can swap the two out? 'Cause that would be really nice.

Are there any issues with the wiring for the airbags?

No its the same plug. 93-02 uses the same column wheel and bag.

I bought a leather wheel out of a '96 Z. Got the wheel and airbag for $45, which seemed pretty good to me! I'll get it installed tomorrow, hopefully. I just cleaned it up a lot today. There may have been Q-tips involved...

I know this is a little late... lol... But any chance you could fill me in with the steering wheel removal? I'm doing the same thing.
